Carcasse is about as far West as you can go on the island of Hispaniola, at the end of a long drive down unimproved roads from the nearest airport in Jeremie.  

 

Although they enjoy beautiful ocean scenery at their location on the water, they are a long way from services that many people in the 21st Century have become  accustomed to.  

 

St Mary’s is a small parish in rural Maryland and the thought of building the infrastructure to serve some 10,000 people in this area seemed daunting.  

 

From the very first year, our partners have been the ones who have made what seemed impossible, possible.
