St Mary's financed the construction of the St. Joseph's primary/ secondary school in late 2009.  We continue to pay teacher salaries and explore the opportunities of adult education classes in the evenings especially in Informatix

 

The school consists of seven classrooms and an auditorium. 

 

The second story was added two years later and was subsequently destroyed by Hurricane Matthew in 2016.

 

In the fall of 2014 Global Solace, Inc. installed a 3 KW solar PV system to supply the school with electricity. In 2017 they returned to make repairs to the panels damaged in the hurricane and it is currently operative.
